Living With Interstitial Cystitis
I recently was interviewed for the Help My Hurt website about what it is like living with Interstitial Cystitis. This is a great website, authored by a nurse, that focuses on pain-related issues and illnesses.
Many times people don’t think about Interstitial Cystitis being a pain-related illness, even though one of the major symptoms is pain, and how it affects our daily lives. With this article, both Marikje and I are hoping to spread awareness for this devestating bladder disease. Click below to read my interview:

Hi again!
Your interview is one of the most read posts on my blog. There seems to be a great deal of interest and I hope that it’s helpful to others.
If you ever want to do anything on IC again, please let me know. I’m trying to get many of the lesser known disorders out in the public eye.
Thanks again,
Marijke at helpmhyhurt.com
That’s great to kow, Marijke! I would love to do something again for your site!
After suffering for two years I was recently diagnosed with IC in January 2008. I will go for a urodynamic testing at the end of this month. This disease is HELL. I am so miserable. It’s hard to work. I can’t sleep. I haven’t slept in TWO years, more than about an hour and a half to two hours at at time. I’m 54 and I want to go on disability. I don’t know how much longer I can work. The fatigue is effecting my ability to concentrate.
