Headache Cause #4: Hunger
The fourth cause of headaches in our Headache Series is hunger.
Hunger
If you have a habit of skipping meals and you suffer from headaches, hunger is probably the reason. This is why it is recommended that we eat several small meals throughout the day. Eating several small meals during the day can help keep your blood sugar level. When your blood sugar level drops too low, a headache can result.
It is believed that possibly low blood sugar can stimulate nerve pathways that bring on these types of headaches - but theory has not been proven
Again, this is another common sense remedy. Eat more often throughout the day and avoid sugary foods. You can also get a headache if you binge on sugary foods while on an empty stomach.
